We went to a mini zoo

The sun hasn't been out much this past month, but it finally showed its face this week! We wanted to be out in it even if it was cold. So we bundled up and headed out to Calderglenn Country Park for an afternoon at their mini zoo. There are meerkats, wallaby's, rabbits, birds, fish aquarium, pigs, monkey's, beavers, falcons, etc. Kids get in free! It is nice and clean and fun.

Sebastian was obsessed with the fish. We had to go back about 8 times to check on them. He even tried to jump into the water at one point. He also loved the aquarium and was fascinated at all the fish in there. We might have to get a fish of our own. 

This country park has hiking/walking trails, a huge kids payground, picnic spots by the stream and a huge private home on the estate. When we used to live close by I'd head over there all the time on my own. It is a gorgeous place to be. 

We had fun in the sun as a family!

ps OK, looking at these pictures now it doesn't look so sunny, but I swear to you the sun was out!
